The Hunch...

Welcome to the Zilwa'CoWorking blog!

We are a small but passionate group, wanting to make our "work-life" balance the best it can possibly be, and after thorough exploration we found that co-working spaces resonated with us very deeply. Imagine just riding a bicycle for 10 minutes to work, walking for maybe 30, or even driving the short distance, having flexible hours, saving precious sleep and family time by avoiding traffic or long drives, meeting people from different sectors, having a stimulating environment providing workshops and other kinds of opportunities, and especially staying in better shape to do the things you love!...

This blog is dedicated to:
  1. Sharing information on the benefits of Co-working spaces,
  2. Sharing why we think we need them in Mauritius and...
  3. Inviting you to help make co-working space network in Mauritius a reality!
Images and vocals will speak far better than plain text, so here's a little video on what co-working is all about:

Before we start "rolling out" information and overload you with things to consider, we have a question: If you had the opportunity to work in such a place close to your home, would you? If your answer is YES!: hit "Like" on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ZilwaCoWorking). We would like to know first how much interest there is about it in Mauritius before we start actively seeking for a space, collaborators and funding.

While we gauge interest, if you have real estate and want to support this, just contact us! We are conscious that this may become a competitive niche, but we remain open in the spirit of collaboration. We have many connections worldwide with highly successful co-working networks and can bring much value to your team, should you want to take up this idea yourself.

Many more posts will follow on the benefits of co-working spaces in general as well as in the Mauritian context. For now, we'll leave you with some more inspiration (it was for us!):

See you soon!
